Uluwatu is surf. Dawn sessions at Bingin, Padang Padang and Uluwatu itself, then the climb back up the cliff steps with a wet wetsuit top and a towel that will never dry in the sea air. Villas in Ungasan and Pecatu sit on limestone roads that coat sneakers and scooter clothes in white dust, and the wind carries salt onto everything hung out to dry. By the end of the week, every t-shirt is stiff, every towel smells of the sea and the whites have a yellow tint from sunscreen.
There are few laundries on the Bukit and most are small kiloan operations that wash hot and fast. Uluwatu is far from Kerobokan. Is pickup really free and how long does it take?
Yes, free, with no distance charge. Uluwatu is the last stop on our daily southern route through Jimbaran and Nusa Dua. Everything is ready within 24 hours of pickup; a morning collection in Bingin is normally back the next morning.
Do you reach the villas down the cliff roads in Bingin and Padang Padang?
Yes. Our couriers ride scooters, which handle the steep lanes and unpaved tracks. Send a location pin and, if the villa is hard to find, a photo of the gate.
Can you collect from a surf camp reception?
Yes. Leave the bag at the camp desk with your name and tell us the camp name. We collect and return it there, which is how most Uluwatu surf-camp guests use us.
What does laundry cost in Uluwatu?
100,000 IDR per kg for clothes, bed linen and towels, 150,000 IDR per pair of shoes, minimum order 200,000 IDR. Pickup and delivery are included even on the Bukit. See the price list.
My clothes are full of salt and sand and my towels smell. Is that fixable?
Yes. Salt, sand and the damp smell are the standard Uluwatu order. Everything is rinsed and washed properly, dried fully and comes back fresh rather than stiff.
